Through the Rain

Through the Rain is an emotional peace about healing. This peace comes from just after my father passed away, but has been put up. It was a time of great reflection and huge emotion. My heart broke to no longer have him near but I also rejoiced knowing his battle was done and that the next thing he would know would be Jesus. This time felt like going through a storm. I found myself looking through the rain and hurt to a brighter future. As I struggled with a new normal I knew the rain would lift and again the sun would shine, but it hurt. This is my putting that feeling on paper as I worked to find the sun again. This is hope knowing the storm will not last and finding beauty even in the rain. Description: The rain is gently falling as the sun comes up. The morning light is good and though the rain is falling there is a bright day ahead. Hope! 15/11 watercolor on paper. Frame not included.
